Murad Ali Shah swears-in as Sindh CM

Karachi, Aug. 18 (TNS): Murad Ali Shah took his oath as the chief minister of Sindh on Saturday, becoming the 29th CM of the province.

Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani administered the oath in the absence of a provincial governor. The ceremony is attended by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, party’s MNAs and MPAs, diplomats, and representatives of the business community.

Murad was elected as the chief minister on Thursday by the Sindh Assembly. He bagged 97 votes against his opponent, Grand Democratic Alliance’s Shaharyar Mahar, who secured 61 votes.
