Port of Spain, August 26 (TNS): Pakistani left arm pacer M.Irfan bamboozled the batting lineup of the opposition in the Caribbean Premier League on Saturday in a T-20 encounter between St. Kitts and Barbados Tridents.
The 36 year old produced havoc in his 4 over spell as he gave just 1 run and delivered 23 dot balls, taking two wickets as well in the process.
The left arm pacer who is representing Barbados Tridents in the CPL dismissed the master blaster Chris Gayle on the first ball of his spell.
However, St Kitts managed to chase down a competitive target of 148 despite their top order collapse courtesy Irfan’s Magical spell.
Barbados Tridents finished the first innings with 147-6, thanks to a massive innings by their skipper Jason Holder who scored 54 runs off 35 balls.
But Irfan’s spell went in vein as St Kitts cruised on to victory by 6 wickets, after brilliant knock by Brandon King who scored a quick-fire 60 to bring his team home.
