ISLAMABAD, August 31 (TNS): Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday, Foreign Office confirmed.
Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted, “The two foreign ministers discussed different ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen relations between the two countries”.

Zarif also conveyed best wishes from the Iranian leadership to the new Pakistani regime under new premier of the country Imran Khan.
On Thursday, Foreign Minister Zarif arrived in Pakistan for a two-day visit, the first foreign dignitary to visit the country since the new government took charge of the country. He was received by high-level Pakistani officials upon his arrival.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed areas of cooperation including trade, investment and human resource development.
