Chinese Foreign Minister arrives in Islamabad for key talks

Islamabad, Sept. 7 (TNS): Two days after the transit visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reached Islamabad on a three-day official visit, RadioPak reported on Friday.

Besides meeting his Pakistani counterpart, Wang is likely to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and president-elect Arif Alvi during his stay in Islamabad to have discussions on bilateral issues with a focus on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.

The talks will focus on bilateral relations, China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project, regional security situation and the Afghan peace process.

The Chinese Foreign Minister will also hold meetings with the leadership of the opposition parties.
