President Mamnoon completes term, left Presidency

Islamabad, Sept. 8 (TNS): Mamnoon Hussain completed his five year as President of Pakistan on Saturday.

At a special ceremony, he was given a farewell guard of honor by a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces.

Newly elected President Arif Alvi will take oath of office at a ceremony tomorrow.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar will administer oath to him.

Arif Alvi got elected in the presidential elections held on Tuesday, edging out the PPP’s candidate Aitzaz Ahsan and PML (N) backed candidate Maulana Fazlur Rehman. According to official results, he bagged three hundred and fifty two votes.
