LAHORE, Sep 13 (TNS): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed Inzamam-ul-Haq from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player category committee to avoid the conflict of interest.

Inzamam-ul Haq was removed from the committee over the reservation of the franchises that Inzamam had been linked with Lahore Qalandars, which caused conflict of interest and hence should kept away from the player category committee.

According to media reports PCB has taken measures to address the reservations of several franchises and has formed a new three-member committee.

The new three-member committee includes Imran Ahmed Khan, head of PSL player acquisition, Waseem Haider and Wajahatullah Wasti from the national selection committee.

The new committee will decide the new category of domestic players along with the final list of international players.

However, teams will submit suggestions on categories of players with PSL and the committee will review the suggestions and finalise the draft category.

In a question regarding the inclusion of Imran Ahmed Khan, a non-cricketer, PCB officials said that it is his job as Imran Ahmed is the head of player acquisition committee.
