Islamabad, Sep 15 (TNS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has arrived in Kabul to hold talks with the Afghan leadership on host of issues especially bilateral relations and peace and security.
During his one day visit, the Foreign Minister will meet his Afghan counterpart as well as the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah.
It is first foreign visit of Shah Mahmood Qureshi since assuming the office of the foreign minister.
Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr Muhammad Faisal in a tweet stated that the visit underlines the importance that Pakistan attaches to work closely with Afghanistan for regional peace and stability.
The Spokesperson said successful outcome of the visit will lead future efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation under bilateral frameworks of cooperation including Afghanistan Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).
