Islamabad, July 11 (TNS): Ruling PML-N said that experts and professionals of the government have found several loopholes in the report the JIT has submitted to the Supreme Court.

“The PML-N has decided to contest JIT’s report in the Supreme Court” announced by ruling party leaders Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, and Prime Minister’s special Assistant on law Barrister Zafarullah Khan at a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday evening.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said our legal team will present our arguments in the court regarding shortcomings in the JIT report.

Without naming Pervez Musharraf, he said the main orchestrator of the JIT is sitting outside the country, whereas Imran Khan is pursuing that agenda in Pakistan.

The Railways Minister said one day the vested interests behind JIT’s report will be exposed. He said PML-N has great respect for courts, but it will not remain silent on the illegal allegations leveled by political opponents. He also demanded of the transcript of Imran Khan, Aitzaz Ahsan, and Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said PML-N’s legal team is reviewing the report submitted by the Joint Investigation Team to the Supreme Court.

Ishaq Dar said JIT’ report is not a final one and let the democratic system go on.

He said the report contains some unverified documents.

The Minister said he has regularly been filing his tax returns. He said I have submitted receipts of my tax returns to the JIT.

He also rejected the allegations of miss-declaration and expressed the confidence that each and every penny he has is reconcilable. He invited the Supreme Court to have checked his record through an international audit firm.

The Finance Minister regretted that his donations were also misquoted. He said he donated 80.61 million rupees to an orphanage. He said he has established a trust through which needy people are helped.

Barrister Zafarullah Khan said JIT’s report is a wishful thinking of PML-N’s opponents.
