30 companies joined with investment of $ 474 mln in Gwadar

Islamabad, Oct 05 (TNS): Chairman, Gwadar Port Authority, Dostain Khan Jamaldini has said that at least thirty companies in different businesses including hotel, bank, logistics and fish processing have entered the free economic zone with direct investment of about 474 million dollars in Gwadar. He said this in an interview with media today.

He said Gwadar port connectivity, Gwadar port collection area and production area are now almost ready. He said we are receiving a ship from Chinese company COSCO weekly and with the start of industrial production in the free zone, the frequency of the ships will increase.

Dostain Jamaldini said there are many corridors, linked through the network of Belt and Road initiative announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping, but the most viable corridor is China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
