Stranded tourists rescued from Deosai

Skardu, Oct 18 (TNS): Rescue and relief mission to evacuate twenty stranded tourists, including a foreigner, was successfully undertaken by Pak Army in Deosai near Skardu.

ISPR said the stranded individuals were searched and rescued by Pak Army Aviation Helicopters.

Commander of the Force Command Northern Area, also met the stranded people.

One tourist has also been evacuated in Skardu and his health is stable.

Pak Army in coordination with civil administration is making all endeavours to open Deosai road.

Meanwhile, a rescue team of Pak Army along with relief items has left Chilas to Babusar by helicopter to rescue stranded tourists and local residents in Gattidas and adjoining valleys due to heavy snowfall.
