Govt introducing advance tech to address line losses issues: Omar

Islamabad, Oct 26 (TNS): Minister for Power, Omar Ayub Khan has said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) government, under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Imran Khan, is committed to streamline the system in every sector including energy.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the government is introducing advance technology to address the issues of high line losses and administrative areas.

The Minister said the government has accumulated 900 million dollars to launch a mega programme for improving the damaged electricity system.

Omar Ayub said the concerned authorities have been directed to launch the programme in LESCO and IESCO in first phase.

To a question, he said talks have also been held with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to streamline the system in PESCO.
