Karachi, Nov 10 (TNS): Pakistan Navy has conducted “Beach Cleaning and Tree Plantation Campaign” at Seaview in Karachi today (Saturday).
The purpose of this initiative was to create awareness amongst general public regarding importance of cleanliness.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail was Chief Guest on the occasion.
In his closing remarks, the Governor Sindh highlighted the adverse effects on climate change caused by pollution and importance of clean and green environment in mitigating those adverse effects.
The Governor also planted a sapling at A.K Khan Park and joined the participants in Beach Cleaning.
He appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s efforts regarding cleanliness and participation of a large number of people and students in the campaign.
