Islamabad, Nov 13 (TNS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to eliminate the menace of corruption from the country.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Imran Khan was the only leader in the country’s history, who was talking about corruption, shelter houses and water issue.
The Minister said Imran Khan as Prime Minister was giving policy guidelines while it was the Chief Ministers’ responsibility to implement them for the betterment of the people.
H said Prime Minister Imran Khan would present his major policy initiatives taken in his 100-day plan before the public on 29th of this month.
The Federal Minister said local government elections would be held in next few months because decentralization of power was the key point of the PTI’s manifesto.
To a question, Fawad said Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) would be celebrated at official level with religious fervour. He said religious scholars from the Islamic countries would participate in the “Rehmat-ul-Alameen” conference.
Talking to Ambassador of European Union in Islamabad, Information Minister said Pakistan gives much importance to its relations with European Union.

He said PTI led government will move forward with objectives of development, human rights and rule of law in the country.
Fawad Chaudhry said government believes that freedom of expression is constitutional and basic right and Pakistani media has unprecedented freedom of expression in the country.
The Minister said the government is committed to implement its reforms agenda for Naya Pakistan, promotion of tourism and eradication of corruption are the part of this agenda.
