Islamabad, Nov 21 (TNS): Eid Milad un Nabi (SAWW) is being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervour across the country today.

The day dawned with thirty-one gun salutes at the Federal Capital and twenty-one gun salutes at all provincial capitals.

After Fajar prayers in the mosques, special prayers were offered for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country.

In Karachi, main procession of the day will be taken out from Memon Mosque, which after passing through the traditional routes will culminate at Nishtar Park Karachi where the main Mehfil-e-Milad will be held. Strict security measures have been made to maintain law & order situation.

In Gilgit, the main melad function will be held in Women Degree College where Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman will be the chief guest.
