Islamabad, Nov 28 (TNS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said Kartarpur corridor is a step towards durable peace between India and Pakistan.
He was speaking at a dinner hosted by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar in the honour of former cricketer and member of Indian Punjab Cabinet Navjot Singh Sidhu and visiting Indian journalists in Lahore.
Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistan has turned the course of history by opening Kartarpur corridor for Sikh yatrees, adding it is an epoch making decision by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said the world should understand that Pakistan has assumed leadership role in the region by opening the Kartarpur corridor.
The Information Minister said some elements in India have sown the seeds of hatred for their electoral gains.
Fawad Chaudhry said by opening Kartarpur border, Pakistan has sent a positive message to the world that it stands for peace.
