Govt getting info from 26 countries to investigate assets, fake accounts of Pak citizens: Shahzad

Islamabad, Dec. 08 (TNS): Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability, Barrister Mirza Shahzad Akbar says the government is getting information from twenty six countries to investigate assets and fake accounts of Pakistani citizens there.

Talking to a private news channel, he said an agreement has been signed with Switzerland to investigate the corruption cases.

The Special Assistant said the government’s investigation unit is getting information from different countries and then starts it investigation into the matters.

He said investigations regarding the two new undeclared flats of former finance minister Ishaq Dar are underway.

Shahzad Akbar said a team from United Kingdom would reach Pakistan today to talk with investigation institutions here.
