Islamabad police kick off campaign to ease traffic flow at Blue Area and Kohsar market

Islamabad, Dec. 19 (TNS): To ease traffic chaos in Blue Area and Kohsar market, the Islamabad Police kicked off campaign against car showrooms which cause traffic blockade at the business district of Islamabad and key market of the capital city.

In connection with the drive, Deputy Inspector General of Police Security Waqar Ahmed Chohan, SSP Operations Waqaruddin Syed and SSP Traffic Islamabad Farukh Rasheed visited Blue Area and Kohsar market to supervise the campaign.

The parking of these busy markets have been reserved for citizens and customers but car showrooms and Rent-a-car mafia occupys public parking which causes traffic blockade during rush hours.

DIG Security Waqar Ahmed Chohan said that the owners of showrooms and Rent-a-car have been issued written notices to vacate the parking area, otherwise they will face strict legal action.
