Former MNA Ali Raza Abidi shot dead in Karachi

Karachi, Dec. 26 (TNS): Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan MNA Syed Ali Raza Abidi was killed in a targeted attack in Karachi on Tuesday.

According to SSP South, the attack took place outside his residence at Khayaban-e-Ghazi where unknown gunmen opened fire on Abidi’s vehicle and sped away. 

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah have taken notice of the shooting and directed police chief to submit a report. They expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic incident and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss. 

President Dr Arif Alvi, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain and Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have also strongly condemned the killing of Ali Raza Abidi in Karachi.

Thy prayed that Allah Almighty may grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.
