Islamabad police kicks off Grand Targeted Operation against drug mafia

Islamabad, Jan. 11 (TNS): On directions of Inspector General Police Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar, a Grand Targeted Operation has been kicked off against drug peddlers in the federal capital, TNS reported on Friday.

The operation was jointly conducted by Islamabad police and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) at Tarnol’s Doray Gaon and Bhara Kho’s Athal Gaon and other suburb areas of Islamabad.


The operation was supervised by SSP Operations Waqar-uddin Syed while SP Investigation, all four Zonal SPs, DSPs, SHOs and personnel of police and ANF participated in the action.


Sniffer dogs were also used in the operation during which huge cache of drug has been seized by the forces.
Seized drugs comprised of heroin, marijuana, hashish and Ice.

Talking to TNS, Inspector General Police Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar said that the operation was started to make Islamabad drugs free city.

The top police official said that his aim is to protect future of our young generation who are asset of the nation.

Amir Zulfiqar added that the ongoing operation will be continued till next 24 hours in entire district.
