Islamabad, Feb. 06 (TNS): President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that social and economic progress depends on development in the education sector.
He was talking to President of the International Islamic University Islamabad, Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh and its Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The President urged the educational institutions to play their due role in formulating public policy through research.
He said the International Islamic University is playing an appreciable role in the education sector. He emphasized the need for further improving ranking of the university.
