‘Govt taking concrete steps to eliminate menace of corruption’

Islamabad, Feb. 08 (TNS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government will not make any deal with the looters of national kitty and make sure they do not go unpunished from the country.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the present government is taking concrete steps to eliminate the menace of corruption from the national institutions.

The Minister said all the stakeholders of the country including, establishment, judiciary and others are on the same page and playing their due role in the country’s development.        

He said the government is committed to put national economy on the path of progress and taking every possible step to further boost it.

Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of Pakistan Journalist Foundation in Islamabad, Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain has said the government believes in the   freedom of media as it is very imperative to promote democracy in the country.  

He said the government is establishing Pakistan Media Regularity Authority to protect the rights of journalists and one-window operation facility will be provided to address the grievances of media workers.

The Minister said the government wants to introduce a journalist protection bill.
