Islamabad, Feb. 15 (TNS): Eminent academician Dr Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema passed away in Islamabad today after a shor illness.
His funeral prayer will be offered at Quaid-e-Azam University’s Cricket Ground at 6:30 p.m. today.
Dr Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema was currently working as dean faculty of Contemporary Studies at the National Defence University.
He amongst the pioneers, who established department of International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
South Asia was his area of expertise and he has written a number of research papers, articles, and books in this regard, besides producing research work on international and national politics. Dr Cheema supervised several M Phil. and PhD works on various topics as well.
The veteran political scientist was a regular contributor to Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs programmes by giving his deep analysis of evolving regional and international situation.
