Islamabad, March 21 (TNS): Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to expedite the progress and to resolve various pending issues such as pending inquiries, promotions of employees, pending process of degree verification and devise a uniform allotment/allocation transport policy.

In this connection a meeting under the chairmanship of chairman, CDA was held on 21 March 2019 at CDA Headquarter. D.G (Admin), D.G (HRD), D.D.G (Law) and Director HRD-1 were also present in the meeting. Heads of the each department briefed the work progress of their formations.

The chairman takes the notice of hurdles, impediment and lethargic attitude of the inquiry officer, as there are 75 inquiries still pending in Authority and he passed instructions to the head of the formations that inquiry officer to complete the formal inquiries with in a period of one month, if inquiry officer did not complete the given assignment within time frame, strict disciplinary action would be initiated against him and same would also be reflected in his PERs. Henceforth, replacement of new inquiry officers in place of retired inquiry office.

Meeting observed that process of degree verification of non-gazetted and gazetted officers / officials are pending since long and he directed that matter be taken with relevant institution / department / agency immediately. Reports of its should be submitted within week time. In this regard, a comprehensive comprising  Director Human Resource and director coordination would submit a comprehensive report in one week. Cases should be expedited on top priority basis, upon receiving reports from concerned departments / institutions / agencies, pending action would be finalized within two weeks.

During the meeting, it was further directed that Administration wing would formulate a policy whereby regular Department Promotion Committee (DPC) of whole CDA offices and officials would be held on annual basis. Pre requisite for promotions cases should also be finalized including seniority issues.

During the meeting it was noticed that there is no uniform policy of allocation / allotment of CDA vehicles and directed that rules in terms of allocation of vehicles may be prepared and fuel limits according to the category of vehicle should be rationalized up to 10% reduction in fuel usage. Allocation of vehicle criteria should also be devised on seniority basis, field duty and according to monetization rules / policy.

Chairman CDA has said that in order to improve the performance of the Authority and implementation of rules to ensure good government in the authority.
