Islamabad, May 08 (TNS): Ministry of Climate Change and PepsiCo. have entered into a partnership for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean Green Pakistan Initiative to tackle pollution and increase environmental sustainability for the citizens.
This was announced by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam and Senior Vice President, Public Policy and Government Affairs for PepsiCo Ms. Krista Pilot at a media briefing in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Amin Aslam termed it a solid first step for building a stronger relationship in the future.
Krista Pilot of PepsiCo said we are pleased to be partnering with the Ministry for Climate Change to support their mission of providing access to clean and safe water to families in Pakistan.
Under the partnership, PepsiCo has made a 700,000 dollar investment with leading non-profit partner WaterAid to enable access to clean and safe water to more than 140,000 beneficiaries in Pakistan by 2021.
The PepsiCo-supported water program will focus on providing sustainable solutions in underserved areas of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad among selected communities, schools and healthcare facilities.
