Lahore, May 20 (TNS): A meeting of Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMTA) was held at Chief Minister’s Office under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, which reviewed the performance and other affairs of the Punjab Masstransit Authority. The Chief Minister sought proposals for decreasing and making the operational costs of Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus operations realistic and directed to constitute a committee for formulating recommendations for making the expenditures realistic. He also directed to constitute a high-level committee for reviewing the operational and maintenance contract of the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project. This committee will consist of the representatives of P&D, Finance, Transport, Law and Punjab Masstransit Authority. The committee will submit its report to the Chief Minister within seven days after reviewing the contract. MD Punjab Masstransit Authority gave the briefing about the projects of the metro bus service and Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project. Provincial Minister for Transport Jehanzeb Khan Khichi, Members of National Assembly Sadaqat Ali Khan, Ibrahim Khan, Advocate General Punjab, Members of Provincial Assembly Ijaz Khan, Ghazanfer Abbas Cheena, Mian Tariq Abdullah, Sadia Sohail Rana, chairman P&D, secretary law, secretary transport, secretary finance, and others attended the meeting.
