SAPM on Health announces increase in salaries of Nurses

Islamabad, Jun 01 (TNS): Special Assistant on Health Zafar Mirza has announced increase in the salaries of Nurses.

In a statement, he said that the monthly stipend of student nurses in the center has been increased to twenty thousand rupees from six thousand and eight hundred rupees.

He said the Mess Allowance of regular nurses in grade 16 has been enhanced to eight thousand rupees from five hundred rupees.

The dress allowance of regular nurses has also been increased from six hundred rupees to three thousand rupees.

Zafar Mirza said this increase is estimated to cost over 228 million rupees to the government annually.

The special assistant said that this is a Eid Gift to the nurses from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said this is the first step towards granting incentives to the nurses who are backbone of the health sector.

Zafar Mirza said that health is the foremost priority of the government and all possible resources will be allocated to bring improvement in it.
