Lahore, Jun 21 (TNS): Members of the Punjab assembly belonging to the Gujranwala Division met Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office here on Friday and held a detailed discussion on various matters including the solution of public problems and fulfillment of basic necessities of life of the people through best service delivery. They apprised the Chief Minister about the problems of their constituencies and other issues one by one and the Chief Minister issued on-the-spot instructions for their solution. Usman Buzdar announced to start visiting every district of the province after the budget session and said that he will visit every nook and corner to personally monitor the state of development schemes. The assembly members are my companions and their problems will be solved on a priority basis, he added. The respect of the assembly members is my honor and we all have to serve the masses as a collective team. The post of Chief Ministership is not a position of enjoying but a great responsibility and public service is my mission and core agenda, the Chief Minister added. He said that genuine priorities were ignored by the past rulers and national resources were wasted on projects for personal projection. Now the time to show off is over and the PTI government has focused on the social sector for ensuring genuine prosperity of the people. The Chief Minister announced to set up the stadium in every tehsil for promoting sports and added that stadiums will be established on priority basis in tehsils where there is no such facility so that the youth could be benefited. Funds will be issued in consultations with the assembly members for providing clean drinking water and schemes relating to the provision of healthcare and education. Resources will also be arranged for repair and maintenance of roads in Gujranwala division, he added. He said that mafias engaged in looting the people will not be tolerated as the government has initiated indiscriminate action against the powerful land grabbers and brought them to the net of law. The Chief Minister announced to set up 115 new arazi centers to solved public complaints and said that these centers will be made functional by December in different areas of the province. These centers will facilitate the people and the establishment of mobile arazi centers will also be arranged. We have close contact with the people and their problems are solved by treating them as my own. I and my team are answerable to the people of the province, added Usman Buzdar. CCTV cameras will be installed in Sialkot, Mianwali and Rahim Yar Khan and every possible step will be taken for the protection of life and property of the people. The program aimed at public welfare will be implemented in consultation with the elected representatives. The Chief Minister reiterated that he will go to every extent to provide necessary facilities to the people adding that every job will be done on merit in Punjab as nepotism, corruption and a culture of recommendations has devastated the institutions in the past. He said that past rulers given importance to their personal interest and national interest was ignored during the past tenure.
