Islamabad: July 14 (TNS): Anti-encroachment drive being conducted by Capital Development Authority (CDA), ICT Administration and concerned formations of MCI remained continue on Sunday.
During this drive, obstructions in the roads, streets and pedestrian movement, barbed wire and fences erected around the buildings, car sheds / parking and security apparatus, lawns and gardens established and encroachments in the green belts and open spaces are being targeted.
During the action taken on Sunday, Enforcement Directorate dismantled fences installed infornt of 35 houses, demolished four (04) rooms, eight (08) illegally constructed walls, nine (09) car sheds and 20 security cabins and further removed barriers, animals and bird cages from street 35, 36, 37, 38, 44 and 45-B of Main Nazim-ud-Din Road sector F-6/1 Islamabad.
Furthermore, notices were served to the diplomats, residing in sector F-6/1, to remove security cabins and other encroachments from the state land.
Earlier, CDA through final public notice had warned general public to remove encroachments from footpaths / obstructions in roads, fences and barbed wires installed around buildings, car sheds / car parking, generators and security apparatus, lawns / gardens established on state land and other encroachments own their own otherwise strict action would be taken against these violations. On expiry of dead line, CDA, after taking on board concerned departments launched anti-encroachment operations for removal of all such encroachments. In this connection, action is being taken on daily basis and encroachments are being removed.
