Islamabad, July 27 (TNS): The immigration process of intending pilgrims is going on swiftly and hassle-free at Jeddah and Medina airports, enabling them to reach to their residential places.
Radio Pakistan Correspondent Muhammad Akram Khan reports from Makkah that Pakistan’s Hajj flights operation which began on 4th of this month has reached its peak while arrival of Hujjaj is continuing at Jeddah Airport Hajj Terminal. So far 76 thousand Pakistani Hujjaj of government and private schemes have arrived via Jeddah airport, while over 80 thousand will be arriving till 6the of the next month. The Hajj flight from Pakistan’s different airports to Medina have already been closed after bringing 48 thousand pilgrims to the holy land.
Pakistan Hajj Mission’s In-charge for Jeddah Airport Inaam ul Haq informed that the staff, popularly called Moaveneen, is working round the clock at the airport to help and facilitate the intending pilgrims. He said that the pilgrims are provided free porter services at the airport for carrying their luggage from conveyer belt to the bus terminal as well as welcome snacks. A Lost and Found service is also available at the airport which helps pilgrims to locate their lost luggage and other belongings.
Talking to media in Makkah, DG Hajj Sajid Yoosfani informed that all components of Pakistan Hajj Mission are performing their duties religiously and their work is being coordinated and monitored through multi-tier formations. He said production and supply of food from contractors are being monitored to ensure quality and freshness of food. Besides food, best transport and medical facilities for Hujjaj in Makkah and Medina are also being ensured. He showed complete satisfaction on arrangements made for Hajj this year. Radio Pakistan’s Correspondent reports that the Saudi Government has also established a multilingual Helpline 911 to respond in case of emergency. A pilgrim can dial the Helpline if he is lost and needs guidance to find his way. The Helpline guides the pilgrims in various languages, including Urdu, English, French, German, and Indonesian.
