Islamabad, Sep 13 (TNS): President Dr Arif Alvi says efforts are being made to increase the tax net and the government’s efforts are bearing fruits, as number of filers are persistently increasing.
In an interview with a private television channel, the President said it is the government and opposition’s collective responsibility to carry on business.
He said presently the country is confronted with critical issues like Kashmir and Afghanistan and in such circumstances having civil-military understanding is need of the hour.
The president appealed to the opposition parties that despite having political differences with the government on a number of issues there should be no difference on the Kashmir issue.
