Islamabad, Oct 12 (TNS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the international media to highlight the plight of eight million people of Occupied Kashmir who are facing a brutal lockdown for the last over two months.
Addressing the participants of a human chain formed at the Constitution Avenue Islamabad to express solidarity with Kashmiris, he regretted the wall-to-wall coverage of the Hong Kong protests by international media, and the relative silence surrounding the treatment of the people of Kashmir.
The Prime Minister said Kashmir is not a part of India whereas Hong Kong is a part of China, but the proportion of coverage of the Kashmiri people is very less as compared to the issue of Hong Kong.
The Prime Minister said we will continue reminding the international community that eight million humans have been locked up in Occupied Kashmir.
He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has committed a grave mistake and played his final card by illegally annexing Kashmir and such oppressive tactics will not subjugate Kashmiris’ just struggle for right to self-determination.
Imran Khan said tens of thousands of Kashmiri people will not accept the decision.
