Struggle necessary to liberate IOJ&K from Indian clutches: Masood

Muzaffarabad, Oct 24 (TNS): Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has stressed the need for struggle on political and diplomatic fronts to break the silence of powerful nations, including UN Security Council, on the issue of Kashmir.

Addressing a function on the occasion of 72nd founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir government, in Muzaffarabad today, he said the struggle is necessary to liberate occupied Kashmir from the Indian clutches, and to ensure defense and security of Pakistan.

Earlier, the AJK President inspected parade by a smart contingent of Azad Kashmir police. He also decorated police personnel showing outstanding performance and the families of martyred police personnel with presidential police award.

Meanwhile, addressing a seminar on “right to self-determination our destination” organized by Azad Jammu and Kashmir University in Muzaffarabad, Sardar Masood Khan said our policy of patience and restraint must not be misconstrued as our weakness.

He said while threatening to use nuclear weapons against Pakistan, perhaps Indian rulers forget that Pakistan also possesses the same nuclear arsenal.
