British court charges ‘teen acid attacker’

London, July 16 (TNS): A British court has charged main culprit of London acid attacks, a teenage boy, with 15 offences including grave bodily damage.

British authorities did not name the 16-year-old offender who was apprehended after five acid attacks last week.

His one victim sustained life-changing injuries while two of the persons attacked were drivers for eatery delivery services.

The British government is now thinking to introduce new laws and sentences for acid attacks to a maximum of life in prison.

British police say the number of reported attacks with acid in London rose from 261 in 2015 to 454 in 2016 which is alarming situation for the authorities.
