Islamabad: November 28 (TNS): Capital Development Authority (CDA) has accelerated the action against the illegal encroachments. Actions are being taken against the encroachments particularly in different markaz and markets of the city. Enforcement Directorate of the authority is conducting operations with the collaboration of ICT Administration, ICT Police and DMA, MCI staff.
In this connection, a massive anti-encroachment operation was conducted in Markaz G-9, Islamabad and encroachments hindering the movement of general public were targeted and encroachments from footpaths, parking areas were demolished / removed.
During the operation 31 Sheds, 19 Fix Counters, 2 Fruit stalls and 2 Hollow cabins were demolished with the help of a Wheel Dozer. In addition to remove these encroachments in Markaz G-9, 16 trucks of moveable material / Items were also confiscated / seized and shifted to the Enforcement store.

Moreover, concrete blocks were also removed from Inter-city Wagon Stand of Route No. 120, these blocks were brought for the establishment of illegal encroachment at the site.
In collaboration of with the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) notices were served to owners of the showroom to remove vehicles from the footpaths, parking area and sidewalk, in case of failure or non compliance within the stipulated period otherwise legal proceedings would be taken against the encroachers or defaulters.
