Minorities enjoy complete religious freedom in country: President

Islamabad: Aug 11, 2020 (TNS): President Dr. Arif Alvi says minorities in Pakistan enjoy full religious freedom and fundamental rights under its constitution as per the vision of our great leader Quaid-e-Azam.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with World Minorities Day in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the concept of modern Islamic state is incomplete without principles of social equality.

The President said according to the teachings of Islam, Pakistan belongs to its all communities regardless of any religion.

He urged all the communities to stay united to make the country stronger to foil the conspiracy of enemy.

The President said the distribution of 200 billion rupees among the needy people irrespective of their religion and faith during COVID-19 pandemic reflects the fair dealing of the government.
