Islamabad: Nov 05, 2020 (TNS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Nalla Lai Expansion Project is very important for Rawalpindi for preventing its residence from flood situation.
Addressing a meeting to review the project in Islamabad, the Prime Minister directed to formulate final proposals after consultation with all stakeholders and submit it for approval.
He said due to the increase in population of the city over the years, the residents are facing various problems and this project will boost investment and economic activity where the people’s problems can be solved.
The meeting was given detailed briefing on the expansion of Nalla Lai as well as expressway, ring road and industrial zone projects on both sides.
The project also includes proposals for drainage and treatment, modern construction on both sides and bridges and interchanges for traffic flow with estimate of about 79 billion rupees.
