ISLAMABAD: Jan 27, 2021 (TNS): The administration of Capital Development Authority (CDA) began operation against land grabbers at Shah Allah Dita here on Wednesday. 100 kanal land was retrieved during the operation. Land grabbers had grabbed 800 kanal government’s land of forest. They have done plotting and construction on the grabbed land. Enforcement department of CDA, machinery of DMA, district administration, and police took part in the operation.
According to detail, the land grabbers had grabbed 800 kanal land of zone 03 of capital city Islamabad. CDA has the ownership of the said land since 1989. The land was being sold by the land grabbers to masses. The grabbers have also done illegal constructions on CDA’s land. Land was being sold to overseas Pakistanis and people of Karachi also. Some powerful figures are involved in land grabbing at Shah Allah Dita. However, the joint operation of CDA and district administration retrieved 100 kanal land from land grabbers yesterday. Illegal constructions on the said land were demolished at the spot. Operation will be continued throughout the week. Directions have been issued for not doing more constructions on the said land.
