ISLAMABAD: March 09, 2021 (TNS): The administration of Capital Development Authority has made wetland project of Rose and Jasmine Garden co-functional. Survey work on the construction of new wetlands at various places is also in full swing.
According to details, CDA administration has been working from last three months to clean the drains. However, the Rose and Jasmine Garden drains have been diverted to Wetland, the sewage water will be treated and used for horticulture. In this regard forty tenders have been issued.

Moreover, trunk sewerage line has been constructed in first phase, where sewage water has started coming from G-10, G-11, F-7 and F-8.
Earlier about two million gallons of water was treated at STP but now 8 million gallons of water is treated at plant.

It is hoped that, the capacity of sewage water should be increased from eight million gallons to twelve million gallons in the next few months. CDA is also working on a project to divert sewage water from slums to the main trunk. Wetland is the best project to control sewage pollution. Work is also underway on a new wetland to treat sewage water in G-Series.
