ISLAMABAD: April 02, 2021 (TNS): Operation of Capital Development Authority (CDA) against the buildings violating the Building By Laws and don’t have NOC is underway. The department of building control served notices to 105 such buildings, showcase notices to 08 buildings, sealed four buildings, and demolished the illegal constructions in two commercial buildings during the month of March. FIRs were also lodged against two owners for doing illegal construction again.
According to detail, the administration of CDA is taking strict action against illegal constructions, encroachments, violation of building by laws. In this regard, the department of Building Control (BCS) one, two and three took action against the buildings violating the Building By Laws and not having the NOCs from CDA during the previous month. BCS 1 served 24 notices, BCS 2 also served 24 notices, and BCS 3 issued 57 notices. BCS 1 issued 3 showcase notices, BCS 2 issued 1, and BCS 3 issued 4. BCS 1 sealed one building in sector F-8/3, and BCS 2 sealed 3 buildings. BCS 1 demolished one building and BCS 3 demolished 2 buildings for illegal constructions. Two FIRs were also lodged against the owners who tried to reconstruct the buildings which were demolished by CDA for violating the building by laws. FIRs were also registered against those who tried to break the seals of the buildings sealed by CDA. Building owners were served notices of 15 days and showcase notices of 7 days for doing illegal constructions inside their buildings.
