Washington, July 24 (TNS): With improved performance and around five percent growth last year, Pakistan along with the economies of countries in the Middle East and North Africa will subside to just 2.6 percent growth this year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced on Monday.

Financial evolution in the Middle East and North Africa is estimated to slow significantly over oil prices as the Saudi Arabia economy slips, the world financial body said.

However, International Monetary Fund projected that regional growth will improve to 3.3 percent in next year.

Countries in Gulf region, which make more than 70 percent of their income from oil and gas, were facing budget deficits since oil prices slide in international market.
