Islamabad: Aug 28, 2021 (TNS): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says Pakistan is helping in evacuation of the stranded diplomatic staff of various countries from Kabul.

In a statement on Saturday, he said Pakistan International Airlines is playing crucial role in entire evacuation process.

He said Pakistan has not closed its border with Afghanistan, but taking steps to strengthen Pakistan-Afghanistan Border Management.

The Minister expressed the confidence that peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of the region in general and Pakistan in particular.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the people of Afghanistan have been facing war-like situation for the last many decades, but now they want peace.

He urged all the regional countries to make joint efforts for promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Talking about India’s negative role in the region, the minister said India is playing various tactics to defame Pakistan at international level, but it cannot succeed in its nefarious designs.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India is hell bent to spoil regional peace and stability by facilitating and funding terrorist groups.
