A cop among 3 hurt in D.I. Khan hand-grenade attack



Dera Ismail Khan, April 27 (TNS): Hours after similar attack in North Waziristan Agency, a security post came under hand-grenade attack in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday evening, officials said.

At least a cop and two civilian sustained injures when unknown attackers threw a hand grenade on a police check post located in Dera Ismail Khan, a district of KP and gateway to tribal agencies.

The wounded policeman and civilians were shifted to nearby hospital for medical assistance.

Officials said that assailants managed to escape from the scene.

Security forces rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area to kick off search operation.

Earlier in the day, a wedding ceremony came under hand-grenade attack in North Waziristan Agency where four persons killed and 32 others sustained injuries.
