After Quetta, Parachinar, terrorists strike Karachi, four cops shot dead

Karachi, June 23 (TNS): After Quetta and Parachinar attacks, terrorists strike again in Karachi on bloody-Friday as four policemen were shot dead by unknown gunmen.

According to officials, unknown assailants, riding on Bikes, opened fire on a Police van in the jurisdiction of SITE Police Station here on Friday left all four cops onboard.

Talking to the media, SP SITE Area Asif Ahemd told the media that unidentified assailants fired at Police mobile van during routine patrolling.

One ASI and three constables were among deceased policemen.

He said the firing incident appeared to be a terrorist act, as the policemen received injuries to their heads.

Chaudhry Nisar condemned the firing incident.

Interior Minister also taken notice of the incident and sought report from Sindh Police Department.

Earlier, at least 25 people were dead and over 100 injured after two subsequent explosions hit a densely populated area of Kurram Agency’s Parachinar city Friday evening.

On Friday morning, a suicide car bomber killed at least 13 people, including seven police officers, in an attack near the IG office at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta’s Gulistan Road area.
