Ali Muhammad urges opposition parties to use parliament for welfare of public


Islamabad, Aug 09 (TNS): Speaking on point of order leader of opposition Shahbaz Sharif condemned arrest of vice president of PML-N Maryam Nawaz.

The opposition leader said huge corruption in Bus Rapid Transit project Peshawar was mentioned in Asian Development Bank’s report but nobody is held responsible.

He also condemned the arrest of son in law of president PML-N, Punjab Rana Sanaullah.

Responding to Shahbaz Sharif’s comments, Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mehmood said those who looted money from national exchequer will be held accountable.

The Minister said opposition is using democracy and parliament as a shield. He said PML-N forgot human rights at the time of model town incident.

The House adopted a motion expressing its deep gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to both Houses assembled together on 17th December, 2018.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan urged the opposition parties to use parliament for the welfare of public only instead of using it for their personal benefits.

Taking floor, he said government has nothing to do with cases against opposition.

He said Prime Minster Imran Khan did not invite murderer of thousands of Muslims in Gujrat, Narendra Modi but Nawaz Sharif invited him to participate in his family function.

The House has now been prorogued.
