Bilawal warns FIA against arresting workers


ISLAMABAD, June 21 (TNS): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday warned the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against becoming a private force of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and avoid arresting party activists in Punjab.

Reacting to the arrest of the son of PPP MNA Zahid Bashir in Sialkot, Bilawal said that the action was political victimization and it has nothing to do with the violation of law or any other crime.

He demanded the immediate release of Haseeb Zahid, the son of party MNA from Sialkot.

The PPP chairman said that vengeance actions will not weaken the stance of PPP leadership and instead will strengthen is commitment.

Bilawal asked the government avoid targeting PPP activists and supporters saying that those involved in victimization will not succeed in their nefarious designs.
