Boxer Amir Khan chased, attacked by gang in Bolton

MANCHESTER, June 14 (TNS): Boxing champion Amir Khan was chased through the streets during a road rage attack when a car rammed into his £100,000 Range Rover.

Pakistani-descent Khan was attacked by a group of men in his hometown of Bolton in Greater Manchester when his car was involved in an accident, The Sun reported.

The boxer and other party engaged in a violent encounter after a confrontation over the collision -thought to have been caused when the boxer took a wrong turn.

Several men set on Khan with one man throwing a punch in his direction, sources said. No arrests have been made in relation to the incident, which took place at around 9.15 PM local time on Friday.

Manchester Police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault…It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there’s been an altercation.”

This is not the first time the boxer has encountered trouble while driving.
