CPEC will enhance economic activities in the region: Suri tells Chines envoy


Islamabad, Sept. 10 (TNS): Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has said China Pakistan Economic Corridor will enhance economic activities and generate employment opportunities in the region.

He was talking to Chinese ambassador Yao Jing who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

They discussed bilateral relations and important regional and international issues.

The Deputy Speaker said Pakistan is fully committed to early completion of CPEC which is a game changer for regional development.    

Qasim Khan Suri also underlined the need for regular interaction between the parliamentarians of both the countries to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese ambassador Yao Jing said Pakistan and China have shared vision for regional peace and development manifested in unanimous support for CPEC. 

He said various development projects with the cooperation of his country are underway in the Balochistan.

Chinese ambassador assured that his country will continue to support Pakistan in technology, infrastructure development and exploration of renewable energy resources.
