Islamabad June 20 (TNS): Former Principal Information Officer (PIO) Rao Tehseen Ali — who was removed by the government on the recommendations of an inquiry probing the Dawn leaks case — on Tuesday challenged his removal in the Islamabad High Court, seeking a copy of the inquiry report to contest his case.
In the application, the former PIO maintained that his career has been spoiled by implicating him in a controversy he was remotely connected to. Tehseen said that though the report has single him out, a copy of the same has not been provided to him and the inquiry commission has refused to provide him with the same.
While making the federation secretary information, interior secretary and prime minister’s secretary as respondents has pleaded the court to issue directives for the respondents to provide him with the copy of the inquiry report.
The former PIO has submitted his application to the IHC registrar office through his counsel Waseem Sajjad.
