Drone attack in Hangu kills key Haqqani commander: Reports


Peshawar, June 13 (TNS):  A suspected drone attack killed a commander of the deadly Haqqani network in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district, local media quoting security sources reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, a suspected drone fired two missiles at his house in Speen Tal area of Hangu last night resulting killing of Haqqani network leader Abubakar and his partner.

There was no confirmation of the drone strike from government officials.

The drone attack comes days after Afghan security officials accused the Haqqani network was behind the suicide truck bombing in Kabul on May 31 that killed at least 150 people.
