Education for all: 195 prisoners appeared for examination in Rawalpindi Central Jail

Rawalpindi, July 9 (TNS): Under Punjab government’s Literacy and NNon-FormalBasic Education Department at least 195 prisoners appeared for examinations in Central Jail Rawalpindi.

According to statement issued by Adiala jail Education Department, examination was part of fourth session of Education campaign being conducted in the central prison.

25 death row inmates and 22 female prisoners were among 195 candidates appeared in the examination on Sunday.

Mission of “Literacy and Non Formal Basic Education” is to provide high quality learning opportunities, through non formal means, to all including those serving in prisons.
